Chen Anguo was born in Dongba Town, Gaochun District, Nanjing City. He graduated from the Department of Chemistry, Nanjing University in July 1967. From July 1967 to January 1979, he worked as a technician and head of the technical section in Suzhou Fine Chemical Group. In January 1979, he was transferred to the headquarters of Nanhua Ethylene Project, participated in the preparation and production preparation of Yangzi Petrochemical, and participated in the technical negotiation with the United States, Germany, Japan and other countries, which was highly praised by domestic and foreign experts. He was transferred to Nanjing Resin Factory in May 1981 and worked in Nanjing Resin Factory for 15 years. He successively held the posts of technical section chief, factory director and party secretary. During his more than ten years in Nanjing Resin Factory, Director Chen Anguo, with a strong sense of mission and dedication, pursued the strategy of enterprise development in the pace of reform and opening up, spared no effort to promote the "rejuvenation of the factory through science and technology", completely changed the appearance of the factory, and made great contributions to the society and the local economy. Over the past decade, Nanjing Resin Factory has rapidly developed from an unknown small factory with less than 100 people to a famous large and medium-sized enterprise with nearly 1000 people in the same industry across the country, and has become the vice chairman unit of the National Resin Industry Committee. In 1991 and 1992, it was listed in the honor list of Nanjing's large profit and tax households for two consecutive years. In 1985 and 1991, it was awarded a commendation order by the provincial governor twice. In 1992, it was ranked among the top 500 chemical enterprises in China, and was rated as a provincial and municipal advanced unit and civilized unit for six consecutive years. At the same time, Director Chen Anguo himself won the honorary title of "meritorious individual in building a new Nanjing" for three consecutive years from 1989 to 1991. In 1991, he also won the honorary title of "Nanjing Excellent Entrepreneur and Nanjing Model Worker". In October 1992, he was awarded the expert certificate of enjoying special government subsidies by the State Council. In 1993, he was awarded the Advanced Business Manager and Provincial Meritorious Medal of Jiangsu Province. Because of his outstanding achievements, From March 1986 to March 1995, Director Chen Anguo was successively elected as the 10th and 11th Nanjing Municipal People's Representative. In January 1993, he was elected as the Vice Chairman of the 5th CPPCC in Gaochun District, Nanjing. In June 1995, he was transferred to Nanjing Chemical Corporation.
In December 1998, Nanjing Angyang Petrochemical Additives Co., Ltd. was founded as a joint venture of Sinopec Yangzi Petrochemical Company to produce PTA catalysts. In August 2003, Nanjing Angyang New Materials Co., Ltd. was registered in Nanjing Gaochun Economic Development Zone, and was rated as a large tax payer for 18 consecutive years. The company is a high-tech enterprise in Jiangsu Province, a quality trustworthy enterprise in Jiangsu Province, and one of the top ten honest enterprises in Jiangsu Province. It is a first-class supplier of Sinopec's "three agent cooperation network".
