Cobalt acetate is a deliquable reddish purple crystal or crystalline powder.

3. In the dyeing and sealing treatment of oxide film, appropriate cobalt salt can also be added to the sealing solution of anodic oxidation of aluminum and alloy to improve its sealing performance. It can also be used for galvanizing additives and cobalt alloy electroplating, electroless cobalt plating and cobalt salt addition of alloy.
